About Dr Marcus Davenport

Dr Marcus Davenport is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centred care. He believes every woman deserves to feel heard, respected and supported throughout her pregnancy and reproductive health journey. Marcus works closely with women and their families, offering clear guidance, reassurance and evidence-based care so they can make informed, confident decisions.

Marcus completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) at The Royal Women's Hospital and Mercy Hospital for Women, two of Melbourne's leading tertiary centres. There he developed broad expertise in routine and complex pregnancies, high-risk obstetrics and advanced gynaecological care.

He currently holds public appointments at both hospitals, where he remains actively involved in complex pregnancy management and is passionate about mentoring junior doctors and trainees.

In private practice, Marcus provides personalised obstetric and gynaecological care at Epworth Freemasons. He has particular expertise in high-risk pregnancy, including prevention and management of preterm birth, and is highly skilled in advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. He also holds an academic appointment with The University of Melbourne and contributes to research that advances women's health.
